Law Enforcement officers from Mecklenburg County ride bicycles 500 miles over four days from Charlotte to Washington, DC. From the start in Charlotte and all along the way we are joined by fellow officers and citizens from towns and cities on the route who ride with us to show support for our cause - a ride in honor and memory of those who have died in the line of duty. Though the journey is not easy, each mile is a tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. At the completion of the ride they attend the Candlelight Vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC. There were about 63 people cycling or providing support coming through Victoria and stoping off at Timmy's Grocery for a break! Visit their webside to see what they are all about and stop by to support them next year!

presented with resolutions honoring Police Week by both the Mayor of Victoria (holding blue and white wreath in first row) and the Chairman of the Lunenberg County Board of Supervisors. They presented the wreath in honor and memory of Town Sergeant Horis Hawkins Repass.
